				Rostrum short, acute. Carapace extremely laterally compressed, anteriorly elongate, with mandibles widely separated from antennae and eyes. Distance between labrum and orbital margin almost twice the length of eye-stalk. Sixth abdominal somite in male bearing two ventral processes, not swollen distally. Telson in male with prominent protuberances on ventral surface. Antennulae lacking ventral flagellum. Only three anterior pereopods present, third pereopod imperfectly chelate. Genital openings in both sexes unpaired. Petasma sessile, attached proximally to first pleopodal peduncle. Second pleopod in male with unilamellate appendix masculina.
