CIESM Atlas of Exotic Species in the Mediterranean
The first three groups to appear in this collection was the fishes, the crustaceans decapods/stomatopods and the molluscs.
Our lists of species include both "Established" species and "Alien" species. Those lists are arranged by family name in the customary sequence and will provide direct access to the species sheets.
It is followed by an annotated list of species long considered "exotic" in the literature but now, after careful examination, excluded by the task force for various reasons (misidentification, indigenous species falsely identified as alien or exotic, lack of preserved material, habitat not sufficiently studied, doubtful records, deep water records, date cutoff, very old records & cryptogenic species, etc.).
