Italy and CIESM: a history carried by the future

Held on 21 April in Monaco on the occasion of Italian Research Day, the event “Italy and CIESM: a history carried by the future” offered a strong expression of Italy’s deep and enduring support for the Commission.

As a founding country of CIESM, Italy has always held a central place in its history. The event also highlighted how this commitment continues to evolve today, with Italy playing an active role in the life and strategic orientation of the Commission.

On this occasion, the Commission was deeply honoured by the distinction awarded to its Director General, Dr. Laura Giuliano, who received the decoration of Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia. This distinction is received with gratitude and humility, as recognition of the collective work and shared commitment that continue to sustain the Commission.

CIESM warmly thanks H.E. Ambassador Manuela Ruosi for her constructive, determined and steadfast commitment, Minister Antonio Tajani for his proactive engagement, and the Italian delegation, in particular Dr. Marco Borra and Dr. Gian Marco Luna  for their continued involvement.

The Commission also extends its sincere thanks to all those who contributed to making this event possible.
