Marine conservation

Reef: The Reef Environmental Education Foundation is an active organization of divers committed to the preservation of the marine environment in South America, the Caribbean, Canada and the United States. Its mission is to educate and enlist divers in the conservation of marine habitats and this is accomplished through its 'Fish Survey Project', which allows volunteer SCUBA divers and snorkelers to collect and report information on marine fish populations. The data are collected using a fun and easy standardized method, and are housed in the web site. Over 50,000 surveys have been completed to date.
